TOUR
Booking requiered
Embark on an exhilarating journey through the premontane forest ecosystem surrounding Cocorná town, where we'll search for endemics like the Beautiful Woodpecker (Melanerpes pulcher) and White-mantled Barbets (Capito hypoleucus), along with captivating lowland species. Our expedition continues to the Rio Claro Natural Reserve in Sonsón, Antioquia. This lush area boasts a humid premontane forest, basking in an average temperature of 25°C (77°F).

During the night of day one, there is an extraordinary opportunity to experience the exit of Oilbirds (Steatornis caripensis) from their roosting caves, where they "hunt" for oily fruits produced by palms throughout the night. You'll also have birdwatching opportunities during the afternoon of day 1 and morning of day 2. After lunch on day 2, we'll return to Medellin, concluding our unforgettable birdwatching adventure.
